The Sleepy Hollow Blues Club is proud to announce the 24th Bluestone Blues Festival featuring a top line up of national and local bands. The event runs over New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and is held at the Murgheboluc Reserve, 20kms west of Geelong. The line-up this year is led by Geoff Achison and the Souldiggers, and also features Jimi Hocking’s Blues Machine and the fabulous Detonators, just to name a few.

From Melbourne to Memphis, Aussie blues/roots artist Geoff Achison has thrilled audiences around the world with his dynamic blues playing. Geoff has been a driving force on the Aussie Blues/Roots scene, inspiring and influencing many of his younger compatriots. A highly regarded guitarist, singer and songwriter, Geoff is equally adept at acoustic and electric styles. He can provide the full electrifying experience with his outstanding blues/rock combo The Souldiggers,

Other artists appearing at Bluestone include Jimi Hocking’s Blues Machine. Jimi has been a familiar sight to Australian audiences for many years. Along with the gold records he collected with the Screaming Jets in the 1990’s, Jimi has also released a large body of solo work from electric rock and blues, to contemporary folk and even blues mandolin. He struts the stage with his band, playing his ‘showy’ guitar style while pulling all the classic stunts … behind the head … the duck walk … even the splits! He continues to write, record and perform with astonishing enthusiasm … but he wouldn’t have it any other way, after all, “the blues is for life!”

Also, on the program are Dog Gone South, the Shane Pacey Trio, Brian Fraser and Dave the Bastard, and there are still more to be announced.

Free camping for ticket holders, a range of hot and cold food, and beer, wine, spirits and soft drink to cater for all tastes.

If you want a New Year celebration to remember, join us for a great Festival, in fact…a great Party!
