Attached here is Current Competition Entry Form, where BASEQ will support the winner to compete in next years’ International Blues Challenge (the “Memphis Challenge”) run by the Blues Foundation, of which BASEQ has been a long time affiliate.
The local competition (to select which act will represent BASEQ) is formally known by the Blues Foundation as the “Local Affiliate Challenge”.

The Competition Process

The Memphis Challenge Competition Process. NOTE: only artists selected by affiliates (eg: BASEQ) can compete in the international competition in Memphis the following January. For example, in 2025 (for the 2026 challenge) the above sequence was started in April 2025, and the selected act competed in January 2026.

The Blues Foundation has an international reach and holds their “International Blues Challenge” in January in Memphis each year. All affiliated blues organisations and clubs are able to endorse one or more local acts to compete in Memphis.
