It seems there was only one way to go on 19-22 September 2019! The Mary Valley in the Noosa Hinterland turned on fine hot days and cool starry nights for the Mitchell Creek Rock ‘n Blues Fest, treating almost 3,000 patrons once again to great music, delicious local food, and free camping in a gorgeous bush setting to share fun times with family and friends.

Over and over again patrons were saying that this festival is like a little holiday people make the pilgrimage to each year so they can just chill out and recharge the batteries in good company.

Jimmy Budgen, festival director said, ‘I’m really pleased with how the event has grown over the past eight years. People have travelled from all over Australia to mix music and lifestyle and to just soak up the spirit of the place.’

I chatted with some of the artists before and after they graced the stage. All of them were stoked to be at Mitchell Creek and full of appreciation for Jimmy Budgen and the crew. Mitchell Creek has earned a reputation among the performers as being one of the best organised festivals and happiest crowds for an artist to play. Those interviews will be appearing in The Groove here and in the coming months, so stay tuned!
